Despite fewer fires and acreage burned than recent averages, Idaho faces ongoing wildfire risks with fire season not yet over. Suppression expenditures have reached $41 million, partially balanced by federal reimbursements and state funding support. Human-caused fires represent a growing share of incidents this season.
