Hong Kong to modernize satellite and TV regulations under new Five-Year Plan

Hong Kong's Communications Authority (CA) has announced its support for the country's newly released Five-Year Plan and the Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address. The CA believes these initiatives will accelerate communications technology development and support the local TV sector. This regulatory push is designed to streamline LEO satellite licensing, resolve frequency spectrum coordination, and update outdated broadcasting codes.
