The US House of Representatives has passed a sweeping Russia sanctions bill targeting Moscow's officials, financial institutions and economic sectors, with lawmakers hailing the legislation as a step towards supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to the war, which is in its fifth year running.
