Ujjain Simhastha Review: Engineer Faces One-Month Salary Cut, Contractor Fined ₹5 Lakh

Ujjain divisional commissioner Asheesh Singh ordered a one-month salary deduction for municipal engineer Rahul Chauhan and a ₹5 lakh penalty on a contractor over alleged negligence and poor work on Bhagat Singh Marg. At a Simhastha review meeting, he also sought faster tenders, road works and preparations for Simhastha 2028.
